An Empty Tomb
It's amazing how an empty tomb,
can fill so many hearts;
With the hope of Glory it confirms;
and the love that it imparts.
The nails that pierced His hands and feet.
The spear that pierced His side.
The stone that they sealed and guarded.
Bear witness that He died.
Yet, that Sunday morning long ago,
may His name be ever praised;
the crucified Son of God:
in victory, was raised.
His mortal visit at an end.
His bridge of peace in place.
It's amazing how an empty tomb,
can be so full of Grace.
THE MUSTARD SEED
The mustard seed cried out to GOD,
"Lord, I am to small.
The tiniest seed of every herb.
I'll be defeated by them all."
Fear not my friend, the Lord replied.
The task is mine to do.
Trust in me, then you shall see;
what I can make of you.
The beasts shall lie down in your shade,
as you spread your limbs in praise.
You'll be a home for many birds.
And man will seek your ways.
They'll marvel at the might contained,
in such a tiny seed.
But will they learn that faith in me,
is all they really need?
If man would trust in GOD alone,
then I would see him through.
And make of him what he should be,
just as I did with you.
The mustard seed then said to man,
"Do you know what GOD has done?
To show how much He loves you,
He's given you his Son."
"He's opened Heaven to you.
Faith in his Son, the key.
I trusted Him to keep his word.
Look what became of me."
If you wish to know him better,
take heed to what I say.
Submit your heart and mind to GOD,
then take self out of the way.
Then you shall see what GOD can do.
And it will amaze your soul.
Just a tiny seed of faith,
will grow until you're whole.
I AM WITH YOU
And I am with you always.
I know these words are true.
For the blood of Jesus fills my heart,
no matter what I do.
I find I see the hand of GOD,
more clearly everyday.
As he conducts the songs of birds,
while clouds, on breezes, play.
He brings forth the flowers,
in colors bright and bold.
Yet in the heart of Jesus,
are greater wonders to behold.
The wonder of the Father's love,
that crushes all our fears.
The wondrous mighty hand of GOD,
that gently dries our tears.
And I am with you always.
How sweet this love must be.
That, even when I'm at my worst,
the lord is here with me.
I thank you, blessed Father;
for giving us your Son.
That we might share the blessing,
of the victories He's won.
CALLED TO SERVE
Bought with blood, for the sake of His word.
Not to be held in reserve.
We’re not just here to fill the pews.
We were called to serve.
Now some might say "I don’t know how."
Or, "there’s nothing I can do."
My friend, GOD doesn’t make mistakes.
He has a plan for you.
There’s a place in His Kingdom,
that’s meant for you to fill.
A place where the gift He gave you,
fits perfectly into His will.
When you speak to GOD in the morning,
if you struggle for something to say;
try asking this simple question.
How may I serve you today?
Now be prepared for the answer.
Be willing to do what HE asks.
If it is done to the glory of JESUS,
there are no trivial tasks.
By maturing in faith and in knowledge,
by learning and sharing His word;
by loving each other as HE loved us:
We prove that JESUS is Lord.

JESUS KNOWS MY NAME
I’m not who I used to be.
And I’ll never be the same.
The change took place, when I learned;
that Jesus knows my name.
It wasn’t for the things that I’ve done.
No, those things brought me shame.
It was for my need that GOD revealed;
that Jesus knows my name.
Now I’m an heir to Heaven.
I can boldly make that claim.
For, at the cross, by His blood;
He calls me to His name.
So, I don’t seek to honor me.
I have no need for fame.
I’m Blessed beyond what I deserve,
for, JESUS knows my name.
The Whisper Of The Word Of God
The whisper of the word of GOD,
directs my very soul.
It guides me in the wisdom,
I need to make me whole.
The whisper of the word of God,
tells me what to do.
It lights the way and leads me,
by means of love so true.
It lifts me up and comforts me.
It puts to rest my fears.
It strengthens and refreshes me.
It wipes away my tears.
The whisper of the word of GOD,
never leaves my heart.
It leads me through the kingdom,
of which I'm now a part.
I thank you everday, my Lord;
for this gift you've given me.
For the whisper of the word of GOD,
binds my soul to Thee.
The Greatest Gift
The greatest gift that I've received,
is one I thought I didn't need.
In ignorance, I couldn't see,
Jesus on the cross for me.
For some, I thought He might have died.
But, I'm okay, so says my pride.
I figured God would let me in,
since my good out-weighed my sin.
But, when the light of truth broke through;
I learned that goodness wouldn't do.
God showed me at His Mercy Seat,
my need that only he could meet.
Since on the cross, He bled and died;
at the cross, I lay my pride.
I asked the Lord, for Jesus sake;
my sin remove, my heart remake.
That I may be made like his Son,
and in the Spirit, with Him be one.
So Christmas came that we may be,
in Jesus name, made truly free.
The Gift
On Christmas Eve, I took a walk.
Trying to find the light,
that would give my life direction.
And save me from my plight.
I passed a church I used to know,
with a manger on the lawn.
Laying in the straw, a babe,
as fresh and bright as dawn.
I realized how unworthy, of him, I had become.
A voice said "He still loves you,
no matter what you've done.
You only need to open up,
and let Him in your heart.
Let Him wash away your past,
and give you a new start."
I got down on my knees and prayed,
for Him alone to hear.
That he might come and rescue me,
and take away my fear,
I had no gifts to offer him,
on the night that marked His birth.
He said my coming back to Him,
was the greatest gift on earth.
He said " I'll take what you don't need,
and add a gift of my own.
I'll take away your wandering,
and give your love a home.
So, I gave the Lord my broken heart.
He returned it to me whole.
I gave the Lord my weary mind.
He gave me back my soul.
I gave the Lord my shaky trust.
He restored it with a smile.
He took the time to listen,
and made me feel worthwhile.
On Christmas Day, remember,
He's watching from above.
His greatest gift is ours to share,
His everlasting love.
Could Jesus See?
Could baby Jesus see the cross,
from the manager where He lay?
On Christmas morning did He know,
the path to Easter day?
As Mary held Him tenderly,
and gazed on Him with pride.
I wonder did he feel the nails,
or the spear that piereced his side?
As Mary touched so lovingly,
the skin that whips would tear;
could He hear the insults or see the scorn,
that waited for Him there?
From the manager there in Bethlehem,
could baby Jesus see;
the price He'd pay at Golgotha,
to rescue you and me?
I believe He must have known,
all that He would face.
Yet He endured it faithfully,
that we might know His grace.
So Rose Christmas
Because there's room at the cross,
there was none at the inn.
Born this night, the Lamb of GOD,
that takes away our sin.
A baby like none other.
The begotten of the great I AM.
The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords,
born the Son of Man.
Until the cross, we never knew,
the reason for His birth.
He gave himself in sacrifice,
to bring salvation to the earth.
Until GOD's plan was finished,
the details weren't revealed.
Though traces of his glory,
were known to those He Healed.
So rose Christmas, from the tomb.
That wonder spoken of.
By virgin birth, our savior came,
to teach us GOD's love.
So lift your voices now in praise,
to the Father and the Son.
For by His Holy Spirit:
in love, we are as one.
